Now being manufactured in Korea in order to offer higher quality and advanced performance then the generation one rods, the second generation of Dobyns' Rods bring s a superior rod to the fisherman. Starting with the handle Dobyns' Rods incorporates a high AAA grade cork , a Fuji reel seat, kevlar wrapping, and a specialized hook keeper that will not interfere with your line. The guides have SiC ring inserts with Kigan stainless steel frames, the highest quality guide available. The rods are noticeably lighter and even more sensitive.

The Champion Extreme series features many of the same great features but offers a higher modulus graphite and the guides are Zirchonium insert guides offering the best in strength, toughness, lightness, and smoothness. The frame is titanium ion plated stainless steel which only adds to the overally strength and toughness of the rod, while still retaining its light weight.

In addition to the overall rod design and improved components , the generation 2 rods are much improved aesthetically as well. The rods now offer a new logo, kevlar wrapping, and a painted reel seat with matching reel seat hood. Dobyns has also added several new models to the Generation 2 lineup.
